Vineyard & Production:
The grapes for this wine were harvested from vineyards in Mt. Veeder and St. Helena AVA's. The harvest began on October 14th and completed on the 18th. The average sugar was 25.3 degrees brix, a TA of .63mg/100ML and a pH of 3.58. The wines were fermented in stainless steel tanks and pumped over 5 times per day for 6 days and aged 19 months in French and American oak. Bottling date: August 26th, 2009.
Winemaker Notes:
Firm, ripe and accessable now, with blackberry, cherry and violet aromas. Full bodied, with ripe berry, espresso and cocoa round and well structured. Chewy tannins to a long, silky finish. |
