Vineyard & Production:
The grapes for this wine were harvest from mature vineyards located in Lodi, Northern Sonoma, and Lake County. The harvest began on September 19th and was completed on October 11th. The grapes were fermented separatley and aged in once used French and American oak barrels for 15 months. The was blended and bottled on January 21, 2009.
Winemaker Notes:
Dark and spicy, with aromas of peppery black cherry, raspberry, smoked bacon and rose petals. Bright and tangy on the palate with ripe berry and smoked licorice. Tanins are fine and racy to a long finish. |
